AR Staffing Solutions is seeking reliable and hardworking Driver Operators for our client sites. The successful candidates will operate construction plant and machinery while also assisting with general labouring duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox meetings and risk planning before commencing work.
• Operate plant and machinery as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Carry out general labouring duties to support the team and complete tasks efficiently.
• Lift, move and shift materials as required.
• Operate handheld tools and equipment safely.
• Measure and cut materials as required.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures provided by the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Assist with other reasonable duties and projects as directed by the client.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Class 1 NZ Driver Licence with WTR Endorsement.
• Class 2 NZ Driver Licence preferred.
• Proven experience operating construction machinery such as:
  • Asphalt pavers
  • Rollers
  • Excavators
• Relevant experience in civil construction is a mandatory requirement.
• Willingness to assist with general labouring duties when required.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work day and night shifts, including weekends, as required.
